We are Uwe, 45, and Kathrin, 42, a couple for 19 years.
We have travelled mostly as backpackers to many places - India, Burma, Africa and Alaska - but we could never stay away for a long time because of limited holidays through our jobs.
Six years ago we discovered our passion for sailing.
Now we are taking one year off from our jobs, and full of spirit of adventure, curiosity, eagerness, wanderlust and calmness we starting the unique journey of our life to a circumnavigation via the Arctic Ocean through the Bering Strait.
